    “Bad Romance” - Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga’s first single off her “re-release” of The Fame (I use quotation marks only because she aims to make it unlike a traditional re-release by adding eight brand new songs), The Fame: Monster, sounds so promising. If the rest of Monster is like this (I hear there’s an incredible ballad on there somewhere), it’s going to be amazing.

    “Nutrocker” - Trans-Siberian Orchestra

This is only one of 26 tracks on TSO’s long-awaited rock opera Night Castle. I definitely suggest everyone find a copy of this piece of art and give it a listen. The video below is the promo for their upcoming annual holiday tour. I recommend watching it in HD if you’ve got the connection for it.

Here are some of their more popular songs from past albums if you want to check them out!

  9. Text  My review of Paranormal Activity: 2 weeks ago

Awesome, scary movie. I loved it. Don’t see it if you’re one of those delusional people that thinks every movie is over-the-top nonstop action. This one slowly builds up the plot and involves quite a bit of exposition to get all of the backstory in there.

I strongly believe that, if possible, one should “acquire” a digital copy of the movie and watch it first by themself in the dark. That will give you the absolute best experience with Paranormal Activity, as it’s not the type of movie that is best viewed in the busy, interrupting atmosphere of a local movie theater.

Everyone should also take into consideration that this movie was filmed by a first-time director, in his own house, in a week, with virtually unknown actors, and under a $15,000 budget. Steven Spielberg green-lit the movie and even altered the ending. Personally, I think one of the two alternate endings would’ve made it better.

Anyway, I thought Paranormal Activity was an awesome film and recommend everyone see it if you think you can appreciate it without viewing it through the jaded eyes of today’s stereotypical moviegoer. Again, if you can, try to get a copy of the movie and watch it by yourself. It’ll be so much better than seeing it in theaters, but it’ll also make your night so much harder to sleep through.
